Anyone have any clue? The projected image always looks so good.
I'm just curious.

I just know that he stated a couple of years a go that it was a Hi-Def projector.

I don't know the brand or anything, but from what my friends within Apple tell me, there are two of them back there (for redundancy), and they run about $40,000 each.

I heard it was actually multiple projectors. Probably Runco or some ultra-high-end brand.

I was going to say it is either Barco or Christie. Did you find out this from someone at Apple or is it on the web-site for the Moscone Center as part of their AV offerings?

One should never stop striving for clarity of thought and precision of expression.
I would prefer my humanity sullied with the tarnish of science rather than the gloss of religion.

Apple rarely uses the AV equipment the locations offer. On most events they bring their own AV equipment. These Apple events are 200% events, Mr. Jobs is not a big fan of surprises when he is doing his keynote! ;-)

I'm betting rear, since I've never seen a presenter cast a shadow on the screen.

they're definitely rear but I'd be leaning towards one of the Christies. Simply amazing pictures, their versatility is virtually limitless.
