The Supercross rider suffered spinal cord injuries during a practice run in March of 2006. Since Progressive was a sponser, they decided to donate $3 every time someone got a quote from here to put in a recovery fund and help pay the medical bills.
I also posted this up on Digg to see if it gets anywhere.

Yeah, too bad they don't offer auto insurance in Massachusetts... It ridiculously annoying trying to find an insurance place here. I had to go through the state's website to find a list of agencies, none of which I had heard of before.
