That was a crazy play yesterday... too bad the announcers kept calling it interference when it was really obstruction.

Cubs rule!!! (or something)

As a Chicago North-Sider, I love the Cubs just because. Tho I never go to a game hoping to see them win.

Yes - the Sox suck this year. But....

2005 > 1908

At least we have that...

Doesn't matter.

Neither team is making it to the playoffs. The Sox didn't invest in any relief pitchers who can perform and the Cubs, despite being the in the worst division in baseball, won't beat Milwaukee even after all the cash they threw at this year's roster.

I didn't write that the Cubs are the best team in baseball, just that they're better than the White Sox.

And really, is there anything more important than that?

That's the life of a Cubbies fan. We know that its best to go into a game feeling like the underdog, even if we aren't.

But its always pretty sweet when they stomp on the Sox.

I didn't know that Lions fans were always drunk and didn't know anything about football!

Today's game was even more crazy! You've got a blown 5 run lead in the 9th, coming back from a 1 run deficit with the help of an error and a bases loaded 2-run single by Soriano. And of course, the fan running on the field to kill Bobby Howry after he gave up the 3 run bomb.

As a Twins fan I love to see the white sox losing - but with the Tigers and Indians in our division....the sox & twins probably wont get into the playoffs.

They're a .500 team for the rest of the season. Of course they won't.
Not even a little bit of a chance in the ALC

A World Series win for one but the cubs haven't even gotten the NL pennant in my mom's lifetime much less mine. You should settle for Prior being able to throw the ball across the plate for 5 innings.

...and that's why the Cubs will always be losers!

Expect more from your team, and you get more - at least once in a while...

Cactus League games between the Cubs and White Sox and the exhibition game the two teams played against each other in the middle of the season.

There were people who had more interest in and got more passionate about that one exhibition game than they were about seeing their team do well in the regular season. Seriously.

And at least the Cubs are less losers than the White Sox this season.

I'd take a World Series victory any day, even if it means getting swept 6-0 in the season series with the Cubs. Cubs fans just wouldn't understand unless they remember 1908.

1) it was called the Windy City Classic

2) The season isn't over yet. its not even the all-star break. No need to worry. The cubs will find a way to blow it and embarrass themselves right at the end.

Well at least they're somewhat consistent right? Regardless of how the Cubs do, Cubbies rock! Wrigley is great and historically significant, Wrigleyville bars are great, bleacher seats are great...there are all sorts of great things about being a Cubs fan, not the least of which is that I don't have to share my fan status with bandwagon clowns (i.e. 90% of Yankees fans).
