I apologize if this topic is already here (but a search yielded zilch) - but for those of you who have not been following it... A DC judge goes to his regular dry cleaner to have his pants done. Dry cleaner loses it (and eventually tries to give him a pair that wasn't his), and were sued for $54 million (this was lowered from a higher value) based on their "satisfaction guaranteed" sign.

Verdict came out today... judge lost...justice served IMO. As long as he gets to reimburse the dry clean owners for their expense and anguish. From USAToday

All I can say is that judge is f#ckin idiot.

Would the drycleaners be able to countersue for mental anguish and time lost for a hundred grand or so? Hell, if it were up to me, I'd declare that judge disbarred.

What a f#ckin idiot.

I'll be satisfied when he is banned from all dry cleaners in the area and has nowhere to clean his pants.

They simply misplaced his pants. They returned them, and he still sued.

I say justice served.

He should have to pay for all of the defendants' legal fees AND mental suffering.

And then be disbarred.

Here's to hoping he gets disbarred and ends up working for a dry cleaner the rest of his life.

This case never should have even gotten as far a court room. It is the definition of absurd.

In all honesty, if I ever sue Wal-mart for a billion dollars or so, I'm gonna make sure I get this judge.

Yes and No, it was a horrendous experience that the owner had to go through just because of him. At least now he has to pay their legal fees.

Even better, he might be "relieved from his duties", for that ridiculous stunt. Which is a good thing, I could not imagine a good szenario where this clown can represent the justice system.
