I'd love to go on a gameshow, never had any luck though. Tried out for Millionaire passed the test never got a call to be on the show. Applied a few times for wheel of fortune never had any luck.

they came to dave and busters where i live for tryouts, i tried out for the movie edition and the regular one. passed the regular test. I also had to fill out an application had questions like what is my most embarassing moment, what would i be in the guinness book of world records for. all kinds of crazy questions then I had a quick 2 min interview. there was 1000s of people there.

I haven't, but a friend of mine (who now works in the CIA) won money on Jeopardy and Who Wants to be a Millionaire.

A friend of my dad's was on Jeopardy. I learned that your controller gets locked if you press the button before Alex finishes the question.

I wonder if there's anyone who's a career gameshow contestant? Or perhaps, who holds the record for the most number of gameshow showings.

My mom was on a gameshow called "High Rollers" in the late 70's. She won about $30k of stuff, which was a lot for the day.

The end tables at their house are the only "prizes" left, AFAIK.

It was hosted by none other than Alex Trebek. He spoke French to my mom (she minored in French in college). One of my dad's buddies taped it on this new-fangled thing called "VHS" -- they didn't own a player for a few years, and couldn't watch it.

My friend got to Hollywood on American Idol, but that is literally the only connection I have to a television show. Sadness.

Maybe I need to try to weasel my way onto one.

When I was in fifth grade, I was on a game show called Total Recall. Unfortunately, my episode never aired (after they were sued out of existence by the television show of the same name). I also lost miserably, so oh well.
