Do you have an extra car you aren't using? I will pay cash to rent it.
Hi, this is a weird post...
I'm married, 26, and I'm flying into Tucson tomorrow (the 6th), and I need to rent a car to drive from Saturday, the 7th, through August 10th, sometime in the afternoon. I'll be going from Tucson to Albuquerque, then to the Grand Canyon.
I could rent a car from Hertz/Alamo, etc, but honestly, they have total crap to choose from. Their 'sports' car is a v6 mustang with an automatic. I have insurance, and no tickets/accidents in the past few years, I'm 26, married, and a responsible driver. I love anything American or Foreign, I love cars in general, but all the rental cars have nothing but coma-inducing vehicles to choose from! I've also driven stickshift since I was 16, so I'm fine with a manual. My first car was a 68 Charger w Hurst 4spd, now I drive a fast Subaru sports car.
I just don't want to waste my money and time on a boring rental car! Please contact me to work out details, and discuss price! This is a way for you to make at LEAST $300 for doing no work, and just letting me borrow your car for a few days. I'll be driving to Albuquerque, then stopping at the grand canyon, then coming back to Tucson. I'll also have a cell phone on me, in case you want to check on your car. I'll even get it washed before I give it back. I'm desperate here, I just DO NOT WANT to spend money on renting a boring car! Please call me or email me back tonight sometime to make arrangements!
Anyway, please PM me! Save me from the horrible coma inducing rental cars! PLEASE!
PM ME!

Car choices vary by location. What kind of car are you looking for? I've seen Mustang's being offered. And I was provided a Saab Convertible (900?) when I was in Seattle for a conference through Budget Rental Cars. If you really want something "cool" - you may want to get it from Phoenix instead as its a larger city (or maybe Scottsdale since that's where the money's at).
If you're looking for like a Corvette or Lambo, that $300 isn't gonna get you very far. A friend took out a Ferrari 360 when we were in Vegas one time - it was over 1K for 12 hours I believe. Of course... we used a corporate card, so we didn't care.

I'm in Tucson... but I don't actually have a car. You can totally borrow my bicycle if you want though! It gets excellent gas mileage and is red, which is kind of like a sports car.
Honestly, I think you may just want to rent that Mustang. I don't exactly know of many people that would be willing to rent out their sports car for that long of a drive to someone they have never met.

Yep, either Scottsdale or Chandler would be a good bet.
