the only thing I know so far is:
circuit city over best buy. Bb has crap customer service.

The foot of my bed is about 3 feet from the wall where the tv will be mounted, so a 30"+ is probably a good size. I think I have to get LCD at this size....which is fine.

Brand suggestions? Any other suggestions? Thanks for the expert macnn advice.

i have a 42" toshiba it's great, REGZA series, i'd high recommend it.

Buy the Toshiba 32" LCD HDTV (32HL67) and other Flat-panel TVs at circuitcity.com

you can get it in 32"

Don't buy from Circuit City unless they have something on great (like misprint) sale.

Sharp/Sony/Samsung are good, but pricey. Westinghouse is the best of the cheaper brands.

You can get 1080p in a 37", but otherwise you're looking at 720p... which really is probably fine for a bedroom TV.

It'd be nice to get one with an HD tuner inside, so you don't need another box in your bedroom.

Lower end ($600+50): Newegg.com - Westinghouse Black 32" 16:9 8ms LCD HDTV Model LTV-32W3 - Retail

Better ($900+50): Newegg.com - SAMSUNG Black/Silver 32" 16:9 8ms Wide HDTV with Integrated ATSC Tuner Model LNS3241D - Retail

J&R has always been good to me - they had a better selection and beat the competition's prices.

Get a TV from CostCo - 90 day return policy and a 2 year warranty standard. They have a Vizio 32" for around $600 last time I checked. Good TV - I have one in my bedroom now.

All glory to the hypnotoad.

Definitely Costco. Their return policies are insanely good.

Got an email ad from them the other day showing a 42" Magnavox 1080p LCD for $999.

I'm happy with my relatively cheap Olivia 32". No built in tuner which is fine for me since I have cable in my apt. Even with tax it was under $500.
