How disappointing. I was hoping for an insulated shipping container with a dry ice booster, and a warning that the cubes have to arrive within 10 days.

Same here, that's what I thought.

As I was reading, I was thinking "if you really feel the need to have non-tap water ice cubes, just buy an ice tray and pour bottled water in there?"...sure enough that's what the article says at the end.

Stupid concept, IMO.

Wow.

Someone should come up with hermetically sealed virgin air from some mountain top someplace.

Refillable of course.

P. T. Barnum was right.
Why is there always money for war, but none for education?

I'm starting a service where rich people urinate into a special plastic case which is then hermetically sealed and mailed to the Chateaux Trois du écureuil region of France, and deposited onto the freshest, most mineral rich soil of France's most esteem vineyard. For those who want only the finest for their body waste.

It's a complete rip-off, but at least $5.24 is much less than the amount you'd get ripped off for, say, the black color on a MacBook.

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!

I've purchased all of my ice online people, it's not very strange. It comes in cylindrical containers full of liquidated ice with simple instructions (In 3 languages) on how to set the ice up for use in cooling drinks and such. I don't see why anyone would possibly get ice any other way.

Mail order Ice Cube? That would be sweet. I'd love to be able to call him in on demand:
