Okay, I'm looking for advice from those that have purchased patio furniture in the last year or two. We're currently getting our deck rebuilt (going Procell from pressure treated wood), and I'm looking to see if anyone has any good advice. From what I've seen, I kinda like the new "treated aluminum" with the stretch fabric across the chairs. The fabric is supposed to be guaranteed for life... so no need to switch cushions and stuff..... But I'm not sure how well the aluminum will last in east coast weather (basically both extremes... ).

Also, anyone here had their deck done recently? how much did that run you (per sq ft)? These things were much more than I thought they were.... especially for the new material.

Got some great looking / wearing stuff from Ikea this spring.

Don't know if they still stock it, though, as it is seasonal.

Where are you looking at furniture? I am having a hard time finding some hi-top chairs.

So far I'm just looking online to get a good feel on prices....

Problem with online is that you have no clue about the quality. Suprisingly, some of the nicer looking stuff that appeals to me are from the warehouse places like Costco's, Sams Club and wal-mart. Target has some nice looking stuff as well... I may actually have to get off my lazy butt and go take a look at some point.
