I've been putting off buying one for years.
How much does that fancy thing run for?

No idea, I got that on my inbox today and was unable to find one out there… I will ask about them (there are three models) at the Philips Service where my CoolSkin (original model) is for repair, a pity is an easy fix so I have no real reason to upgrade

Well, I prefer to shave in the shower anyway, so it wouldn't bother me.
Edit: There's no such thing an inexpensive wet/dry shaver, is there?

Norelco makes the best razors. I made my boyfriend buy a new one (on sale at Kohl's) so I could have his old one. There is not a single electric razor "made for women" on the market that is as good as a Norelco.

I finally bought a Norelco and its a piece of sh*t. I bought it because I thought the $100 razor would be better than the $30 electric razor I bought as a temporary replacement.
Nope. Not only does the shaver not pick up my hairs requiring me to spend 3x as long shaving as I would with a normal blade, but if my stubble ever gets too long, I can't use it at all, even with the special Norelco shaving gel they gave me. I have to shave first, then use the electric razor, which seems counter productive. The "beard trimmer" only has one length, too short, and it's not adjustable.
What kind of crap is that? I'm using my $30 razor (Braun?) because it at least as a 4 length adjustable beard trimmer and it can actually shave decently if I forgot to shave the previous day.
Norelco is the absolute worst electric shaver I've ever owned.

Looks interesting enough. But if it's like any other electric I've used (Braun, Norelco), it'll leave me rashy and stubbly. Cheapo disposible twin blades work great 4 me everytime.

I use the mach 3
I used to use an electric razor but I found that it never cut as close as a regular razor, it was difficult to use after I showered (my skin was wet ) it failed to glide across my skin and made shaving difficult. This was before those wet/dry models were out in the market. Cleaning them was also a pain and the blades were expensive if you needed to change them.

Like Mach 3 blades aren't expensive when you need to change them? They're like $5 apiece, and they wear out fairly quickly.

Electrics don't replace standard razors as much as they augment them.
I use my electric Braun ($100 or so) every day on my moustache area cause i'm not a fag. I mean cause I don't like moustaches. I'll also use it on my jaw area and by the sideburns.
I'll use a razor razor with hot water and gel on my neck, but I only do that every other day or so. The electric doesn't get the neck so well, and that's okay by me.
A typical shave only takes me about 6 minutes. Braun face, Mach3 neck, out tha door.
and yo, Mach3 or similar blades cost a WHOLE LOT more than replacing my Braun's blades like once every two years.

I use a Schick Quattro, and usually shave every other day, but I shave my entire head, except for the 'stache and goatee.

i got lots of gay friends. I'm not a cop(or a pilot) and i'm not gay, so no moustache for me. Also, of all my gay friends, none have moustaches.
Take it easy Sprinkles!
BGM:
An acronym for "Big Gay Mustache". A large, bushy mustache, often curling upward (like a barbershop quartet member) or downward (like a biker or walrus). It does not imply that the person who has the mustache IS gay, it merely is a style of mustache much loved by gay men, especially "bear type" gay men.
Hulk Hogan has a BGM.
- from Urban Dictionary: bgm
I work in Fort Lauderdale:
Wilton Manors(in fort lauderdale) is known as a gay village, although its population is extremely diverse. The former mayor of Wilton Manors, Jim Stork, is openly gay. The city even has a 'Gay Mart', an apparel store with a play on the name 'K-Mart'.
Wilton Manors ranks 3rd in the U.S. for its percentage of gays as a proportion of total population. The Ft. Lauderdale area ranks 4th in metro areas (per capita). Neighboring Oakland Park (ZIP code 33305) is ranked sixth on the list. Wilton Manors has approximately 1270% more gay men per capita than the national average.
-from Wilton Manors, Florida - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
a bunch of my friends live in Wilton Manors. Great little neighborhood.

A little pricey but at 8 dollars for 4 blades and one blade lasts me a month, I'm only spending 2 dollars a month for a shave that is superior anything else I've used.

Chalk up another gillette fusion user. I usually don't get suckered into the hype, but I thought what the heck. In normal use it doesn't give me a closer shave than a mach 3, but it's a million times more comfortable to use. The brilliance really lies in the single blade in the end though which is brilliant for finishing off those stubborn ones left after a normal shave.
I never really got into those huge electric ones. As others said, they don't get the neck very well, and I can't imagine they'd be good for the upper lip either.
Fusion seems to be best of both worlds to me.

the reason i got a fusion was cause i was still on an old school origional mach 3 and thought i desevred an upgrade so bought a Fusion (only to find out like a month later i got sent a free one with my mums tesco club card) but i rarely use the blade on the back, i even somethimes make myself use it cause i think what a waste

Braun makes the most effective electrics. Try the synchro series with the self-cleaning base stations.

I tried an electric shaver once, a braun freeglider which seemed fine for a few days, but the cartridges were quite expensive, and didn't add anything extra. After a few weeks it broke down, a tiny hole in the head had the nasty habit to cut into my skin, which was the moment I disbanded it and switched to mach 3. mach 3 blades are about 1,50 euro a piece if you buy 12. They last about 2 weeks (shaving the difficult parts, like your chin and near the throat). There is no way I will try another electric razor. Mach 3 is so much easier to carry and replace. And they shave faster and smoother. I am happy with mach3.
