I always enjoy a really good countdown. The anticipation of what will happen once we get to "0" is always riveting and exciting. I love a great climax that happens after a dramatic countdown. Whether it is a rocket ship taking off, an explosion, a race starting, countdowns are always fun for boys and girls alike, and maybe some animals too but I wouldn't know anything about that.
I thought I would create a thread where we can initiate our own countdowns... So, 3.... 2..... 1....... GO!!!

I also hate it when countdowns are aborted, so if you are going to countdown, please commit to it and don't abandon in. Abandoned countdowns piss me off!

That will make it pause for 1000 milliseconds (1 second). I was this close to making a Cocoa GUI program or a Java Applet. This close.
