Me and My Mac - Columns by PC Magazine

Isn't this the same guy that has been bashing Macs for years?

He's a troll who will do anything to drive traffic to his site. Nothing to see here.

^^ agreed. He realizes that everyone knows his schtick of Mac hating. So now he's posting this to get people to say "WHAT???" and he gets hits.

Can't wait until that dick retires.

Damn it. I was going to use the headline "Dvorak comes out of the closet". Man, he's been bashing the mac for so long. Who didn't see this coming?

Dvorak has always been in favor of Macs. The only reason he's ever pretended anywise is the money.

I can confidently say that I don't read Dvorak, never will, I will prevent him from getting those advertising pennies.

This DOES remind me of Salty coming out of the closet. Heh.

From basher to lover.

The guy speaks out of his butt half (all?) the time. I don't read his articles and I don't put any stock in any of his prognostications.

I'm really not sure what to think of this article. I read it through, but I found it extremely basic, really.

And I don't trust him.

Didn't know that. I don't pay much attention to the tech writers.

I remember that. I used to read his column (usually at the last page of MacUser) back in 1994-1995. He sure wasn't bashing Macs then, quite the contrary.

Dvorak is an idiot. He used to be a staff writer for MacUser back in the eighties and early nineties before becoming a turncoat to increase his status. He routinely has poked at Apple to drive more traffic to his web site through sensationalism. These latest statements follow the old pattern of praise and then later on a sensationalist anti-statement that is over the top.

Article summary:

Opening: "The original split between PC users and Mac users was a battle between the masculine command-line interface and the girlish GUI."

Conclusion: "The Macintosh uses an experimental pointing device called a 'mouse'. There is no evidence that people want to use these things."
"…I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than
you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods,
you will understand why I dismiss yours." - Stephen F. Roberts
