"If you are even slightly interested in the power of subliminal suggestion over the human mind, you will be fascinated by this short video."

This is weird. People in creative marketing might find this slightly disturbing. The kicker is at the very end.

Amazing Video Proves that Subliminal Suggestion Works

Awesome.

Definitely shows the difference between original thought (which takes time and effort) and regurgitation....

Which is what the Lounge is about.

I think it speaks volumes about the human brains capacity for retention of throw away information.

Really, think about everything else that is in there that we can't access directly yet it still affects us. What if we could recall it all at will? Would it drive us to mad? I would bet so.

I think a big part of the result was the time limitation. If they had worked on the concept for a number of days, which would be more of a realist situation, I think they would have been less influenced. It would be interesting to see the same experiment with a longer time frame.

Did you look at the very end where they replayed the taxi ride?

I have to admit that I had a bit of trouble buying this one. Their initial reactions seemed unnaturally stiff.

Ah, OK thanks.

A couple of points:

1) Those suggestions weren't subliminal.
2) There's no proof that the suggestion had anything to do with the outcome. Maybe what they came up with were just the most common themes that people generate, and had nothing to do with what they saw (or perhaps didn't even see at all).
3) I'm with Jawbone, I just didn't buy it. It felt like a magic trick, like a setup, given how similar the things they drew were to the primes from the taxi drive.
