Well, it's over. The first day was 100 degrees and high humidity. I won't waste time.
Incubus: I still feel like screaming praise when I think of how good they were on stage. "Dig" was awesome.
Beastie Boys: Outdid themselves and brought the house down. MMM was on his game. They did an Intergalactic Planetary encore. 100% goodness in suits on stage in 100 degrees.
Yeah Yeah Yeahs: If you like the hard stuff, this band is absolutely amazing live. I felt ambushed. I had no idea what I was walking into on that one. The surprise of the festival for me.
Matisyahu: Great respect for such a beautiful soul. I got choked up a couple times watching this guy move the crowd.
The Police: "Hi, we're the Police. And you may never get to hear us again. So we'll play a few songs and go back to our hotel, now."
Spoon: Why? Just....why?
The Fratellis: Warm sound. Good live performance. 50/50 I'll pick up their stuff. The lead singer's voice reminds me a lot of Lennon.
Interpol: Not my thing.
Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals: Never heard them before. Very Marley-like.
Explosions in the Sky: If you dig trippy instrumental stuff, you can't go wrong here.
I heard Infect Mushroom were super hot, but we couldn't get to 'em.
Amy Winehouse: if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. Right? Oh crap, I just screwed that up.
Finally...The Smashing Pumpkins: They did the over-amped "wall of noise" thing and really worked up the frat boys and teen angst in the crowd. But they've got some serious challenges ahead. Expect drama in the upcoming months. I wish them only well.

Do you want forgiveness or respect?

Infected Mushroom is some trippy psy/goa trance like music. Very cool.
Ben Harper is a very good musician and his songs are all over the radio.
Pictures of nekkid virgins, or the festival didn't happen.

Sounds like a heck of a show. Beasties Boys must've been great.
Now show us the virgins!

That's exactly why I clicked on this thread. Then I realized it was just a bunch of bands, and now I don't care.

I know, man. Bands are dumb, and should be hated.

Major disappointment. Perhaps it's an opportunity - we could put together a festival for virgins. Clearly, the world needs one.

A few years ago, I lived in Michigan and they have a thing called the Cherry Festival. I convinced my brother that during this festival, all the farmers bring their virgin daughters and auction them off to husbands.

I don't know how most of the people there could stand it. The only reason I was able to survive it was that I had VIP pass that got me into the airconditioned lounge where I could watch some of the shows on a big screen TV. Other than the ridiculous heat, it was a pretty cool festival. I was there the whole time, working at the OurStage tent. If you happened to play any beer pong while you were there, you probably saw me.
