Have these gotten a lot more aggressive in recent months? You'll be watching a TV show, and something will appear at the bottom corner of the screen, flash and jump around, make a bunch of noise, and just generally grab a lot of attention.

I think it's really cool. You get to watch a TV show and, at the same time, see an ad! It reminds me of pop-up ads on the web, so it makes me feel right at home. I love advertising.

They've been doing that for a while now. I find it annoying like everyone else except the advertisers.

Oh yes they have. And FOX showed me the first instance of promoting something not related to the network (some movie) during an episode of Family Guy.

The noise is the best part really.

Hmm, never thought of that. You'd think that those who made the movie/show would object to it though.

Not anything they can do, but put ads in the shows and more product placement.

Nope. I won't touch WoW with a 10 foot pole.

I refuse to pay $50+ a month for maybe five or six channels that I would watch.
I like my water with hops, malt, hops, yeast, and hops.

It has increased since the season finales as they want to push their new Fall Shows, but not take away from their existing ad revenue.

Not only are they annoying, they block some of the words if you have closed captioning on.

It's gotten worse over the years, it's frickin annoying and rude.
But it's a good thing in a way, I watch a lot less TV now.
