Okay, enough already. I can't take it no more. The heat is about ready to be the death of me. In in Norfolk, on the Navy base right now. The heat index is only about 113 right now. I can't wait for the weather channel to start showing the windchill factor.

What's it up to where you are now?

It's currently a pleasant 71° here in Somerville, MA. But I was down in Baltimore last weekend and it was just horrible. I totally understand now why my dad left Maryland and moved to California.

After a month of record rain and the coolest July on record, we have shifted into the sunny haze of August, with none of the 100 degree days typical in South Texas summers. I think its been hovering around the low to mid 90s this week. Weird weather.

It's 99 degrees here in Atlanta. The high is 103. But the heat doesn't really bother me too much, I just can't wear grey shirts.

Steamy 28° C in New York.

Am I the only American that uses celsius (not a provacation, it's simply more convenient for me)?

25° C here, that's about 73 in Fahrenheit - this qualifies as nice and warm. Doesn't go above 30° C (86 F) that often, only on a few days a year usually.

90°
H.I.; 99°

And the next 4 days you ask?
Friday; 93°
Saturday; 99°
Sunday; 98°
Monday; 97°

It's been like this since early July with the exception of the last 4 days of thunder showers.

Only 96º in Tucson, AZ. Earlier this week it was in the 70s all day, which is surprisingly cool for Arizona in August. Weather be crazy.

I tend to go back and forth between the two. I made a point of using Celsius for a while just to get used to thinking that way so I could switch back and forth easily (I travel a lot and it's useful). But while I'm in the US I just find it more convenient to use Fahrenheit. Otherwise I end up having to convert every time the temperature comes up in conversation.

The man's got a point. This past winter was my first New England winter, and, even though I've experienced much colder in Minnesota, the weather here is just brutal. It must be a humidity thing, because 20° F here feels much much colder than it does in Minnesota. It feels more like 10° or even 5°. Fortunately I didn't have to deal with shoveling last winter because we didn't have a car, but now we do so I'll have to worry about that as well.
