I was looking on amazon today because I was thinking of pre-ordering leopard and maybe getting iworks 08'. I scrolled down to the middle of the page where they had those special combo offers and they were pre-selling leopard with ilife 08'. Isnt ilife 08 going to come with leopard already? I just thought that looked like a big rip-off that im sure people will fall for...

iLife '08 is not included in Leopard.

iLife '08 is included on all new Macs.

It never was. iLife only ever came with a new Mac, or you had to pay for it. If you just buy the OS then iLife is not part of it.

Why do people ask this question with every OS release?

I'm a bird. I am the 1% (of pets).

Let me think... Some people dont know things, therefore they ask these things called "questions". Instead of ending in a period or exclamation point, they end in a question mark (?).

And some of the People (not just the op) are long time members or are very experienced mac owners.

Go figure.

Of course the next set of questions that we start seeing is when can I buy a mac that will include a free copy of leopard.

Just so you won't feel let down. I got my new MBP around 1 July, let me ask you why I didn't get iLife 08, iWork 08, and a coupon for Leopard as well. sam

Leopard wont be out for another 2 months, no reason anyone should be getting any free coupons at this point.

iLife '08 and iWork '08 were released on Monday. Why would you get free copies because you bought a computer a month and a half ago?

Obviously since my new MBP came from China, it has lead paint AND contains magnets that will be swallowed by my child. Someone requested a complaint and I provided one. Neither my Apple II nor my Apple II GS have had upgrades in a long time and I would like some minor fixes there also. sam

Oh, well I hear you need a Macintosh Classic in order to run iLife '08. Something about needing graphics or something silly like that. Damn Steve and his greedy force upgrading tactics!

I thought Steve said in one of the Leopard Keynotes that iLife was included… I must be crazy tho. Because I do realize at this time, it is not.
