I buzzed it around the office.
I was awkward with it at first but I got the hang of it.
My cockatoos HATE it.

Those things are great. My buddy has two of them. When not having helicopter wars, he's chasing his cats around with them.

SC, I bought the same one a couple of weeks ago. Best $30 I've ever spent on a toy. Fairly durable little gizmo too. It's taken some serious abuse and keeps on buzzing along. Although the cat doesn't seem to enjoy the fact that I now can call in air support.

Those mini helicopters look like loads of fun. Once they make one a bit stronger that can have a little cargo hook to pick up a bottle of beer, I'll buy one.

Mine was $19 on sale.
There's another for $14.
That dragonfly is too cool!
That's a MUST HAVE!

To lengthen the flight time, you can switch ti Li-po batteries. But it will cost $20-30. It will lighten the copter as well as give it more power.

What kind of control do you have with these things? (helo and dragon fly)
Looks like all kinds of fun.

I keep seeing these at a local electronics store. I should just buy one and dive bomb local cats with it. Probably more fun then drinking on a Saturday night.

I firmly believe that any and all helicopters are a well-built scientific method of humiliating people who think they can fly.

I think it would be more fun to dive bomb cats with it WHILE drinking on a Saturday night....

You've got that right.
After flying fixed wing for 12 years, I thought I might like to get a rotary wing endorsement.
Man, it is NOT like flying an airplane.

I saw these at Target today. Man, they have quite a selection. The $30 one like the OP posted, or an army "Apache" style one, and some that came with some extras, but had an enclosed foam area around that gear, and then another set for $80 that included TWO helicopters and you could apparently dogfight with them to try to shoot the other one down. That sounds like fun.

I saw the two that you could dogfight with at Walmart this afternoon too. They use beams of light and sensors and if one "hits" the other three times, the hit one goes down. That does sound like fun.

I got the Dragonfly. Piece of crap, it's top-heavy and no matter what I do, it falls flat.
Then I got the radio controlled copter from Wal-Mart. It doesn't handle as well as I'd like, but it's cute.

You must not be doing the drgonfly right. I can flip and dive by now. It only drops if it gets too far away.

You guys talk me into getting one. I picked up the Apache looking helicopter for $35. After 10 minutes of flight it crashed pretty hard into a tree in my backyard. One of the little metal weights came off the stabilizer blade. I searched everywhere but couldn't find it. Now every time I try to take off, it just flip flops on the ground. I'm going back tomorrow to pickup a replacement.

Some mods here for your toy helicopters It is primarily for the PiccoZ, but most of the mods you can apply to most of this style of helicopter.
