Don't forget, folks, the winning fantasy team name this year is "Michael Vick's Dog Rape Stand"

Not a single Patriot?!? That's just silliness. I'm not seeing big numbers from Edgerrin James or Bolger. But, Branch is a solid pick. Doesn't Gore have a broken hand? I think Stover is the best thing ya got going.

James is supposedly going to have a rebound year and Bulger is the #2 QB in the league according to almost every fantasy list I checked.
Gore's hand is broken, but he's already playing and is expected to make a quick full recovery.

Alright then, I like the Gore pick, I think they should let him heal for the rest of pre-season though. And I'd LIKE to see James do well. I just can't get behind Bulger over, Brees, Brady and Manning. Maybe just a personal preference.
I haven't finished mine anyway, so I have no right to talk. Good Luck!

fantasy football. just listen to the name. you should see some of these dudes getting heated up over it all. my roommate got an angry phone call from "the commisioner" of his fantasy league??wtf? asking him to just sell his team because he wasn't at some meeting they had the other day. it all seems so freakin' homo. a large portion is jocks that didn't make it past high school ball, and want to play make believe.
I'm not hatin', just sayin'.
edit: i think i was hatin'.

I think they'd all get paid lots of money for playing with a ball when there are millions of better ways to spend money instead of hiring meatheads to play with a ball so you can watch them.

National sports= stupid= waste of money= waste of time= why do people get paid so much to play with a freakin' ball. I'd rather be outside doing something than inside, watching somebody else do something.

Because a lot of people pay to watch it.

A lot of people are capable of doing both.

I seem to be missing my decoder ring, as both of your responses still don't make sense to me. Why would you pay? And if you could go outside, why would you sit inside and watch somebody else play a game? Maybe I could interest you in a deal. I'm pretty sure I know a kid who's REALLY good at guitar hero (not me). If you pay me $10, you can come over and watch him play. It'll be super awesome to watch him play Guitar Hero, because he's really good, which makes it awesome and worth paying for. >rolls eyes<

Why would you register on a forum just to complain about football?

Because they don't let you into the arenas for free.

Variety, weather, scheduling conflicts.

You like the Saints (living in Bossier City and all)? I'd like to get Brees as my QB. I'm liking EDgerrin more and more since you mentioned him.

Nope. I'm actually an hour and a half closer to Dallas and Houston than I am to New Orleans. Plus, my family is all from Texas, so we're all lifelong Cowboys fans. My first memories of football were watching Hershel Walker playing in Texas Stadium. I've been slightly bitter at my 'Boys ever since they picked up T.O. though. It left a bad taste in my mouth. I am happy the Saints are seeing success now, though. Just not ecstatic like the southern half of the state.
Brees is going to have another knockout year though. I visited N.O. two weeks ago, and the people there have made him a god. He bought a house in the French Quarter instead of one of the cushy suburbs; stuff like that means a lot to the people post-Katrina.
Edge is supposed to have a nice year, but it'll be better for him if Leinart can have a good season too. They say the Arizona O-Line is the only thing that might possibly hold the two of them back this year.
