Best part is it only takes 30 mins and alot of ice and fine feed salt to make the best ice cream in the world

It consists of 10 quarts of half and half, a dozen eggs and 2 oz of vanilla.. the richest icce cream

I'll be right over....oh wait, where are you? I love homemade vanilla ice cream. I grew up with many of those gas engines. I lived on a dairy farm and my dad and uncle collected them. That John Deere is a real keeper. They are very fuel efficient as the flywheels keep them turning until they have a load or slow down to a certain RPM and then fire from a magneto (no spark plug).

Hope your great grampa had a wonderful day.

Yeah that engine ran perfect.. only time she needed to fire was when there was a load on the engine. And the ice cream is so good.. when its fresh off the paddle its the best..

There are very few things in this world that compare to good homemade vanilla ice cream. VERY few.

I remember making homemade ice cream in my high school chemistry class. We basically had 2 bags. One bad with the cream and stuff surrounded with ice and salt in another bag. I shook the bags together and did not know that the cream bag was slightly ripped so when I took a bite of it, I was shocked to eat salty ice cream!

Very nice machine though!

I miss homemade ice cream. My dad used to have an ice cream maker. I honestly can't think of anything better.
I like my water with hops, malt, hops, yeast, and hops.

Jumbonium, I'd like to talk to you about your ice cream maker: where'd you get it? What brand? Hoping to hear back from you, Ted :-)
