I saw one of his shows in Atlanta this past weekend. It was AWESOME. If you ever have a chance to see him you should.. He ripped on himself for going to Africa and he even cracked a few jokes about how Carlos Mencia (whom I despise with a passion) was an extremely cheesey version of himself.
Chappelle "Sir what are you Mexican? Arrabian?"
Guy in audience "Actually I'm Indian"
Chappelle "Oh ****... Sorry to offend you but seriously I need to talk to you after the show tonight, I've been having a lot of trouble with my cell phone"

He's a great stand up. His show was great as well, IMO. Too much national fame though, which it seems he doesn't want, led him to quitting the show.

Screaming funny, I hope he can deal with the demons that torment him.

I borrowed Block Party from a friend but couldn't get through the first 15 minutes. It just wasn't that funny to me. His show has had some really hilarious stuff though.

I don't think block party was supposed to be as much of a comedy as it was a documentary.

Yes and no... His sketch comedy, like "The Chappelle Show", is def. in a leauge of its own. He stepped out on a limb on pretty much every show and no matter how raunchy or different it was, everyone loved it. For Example: The Black White Supremacist. But when it comes to his stand up, you can see similarities in other black comedians.

Everyone freaks out over that, but I never found it that funny.
But this: YouTube - Dave Chappelle's Howard Dean
I think that's funny.
