I'm going to Tucson tomorrow, and I figure the new iPods may be released by then. However, having been to several different Apple Stores (including two in my home town of Toronto), I'm not particularly keen on going to the Tucson La Encantada Apple Store just for the sake of going.

Is the shopping around there good? I'll be with three women who are keen to shop.

P.S. I hear it's very, very hot there right now.

Your ladies will most likely enjoy the shopping center it's in. The store itself... not unless you've never been to one.

Real nice scenery around there, though. Plus it's cooling off. Supposedly under 100º tomorrow.

OK thx. So, the Apple Store there ain't anything special. Oh well. Maybe we'll do the shopping there anyway, for the ladies. Plus if a cool WiPod shows up maybe I'll just have to go for that.

Under 100º. Sweet!

Saying they ARE released tomorrow, I doubt they'll hit the stores that soon.

Depends. Sometimes Apple has new products in-store the day of the launch. However, for a brand new product like that, you may be right.

Rained every day I was here, strangely enough. Kinda enjoyed that actually. Cooled things down quite nicely.

It was amusing how everyone was freaking out about the rain. By the way there were talking, you'd almost think that a level 3 hurricane touched down. I was surprised to learn though that sewers were few and far between. I guess that's why even with the only moderate rain that came, several streets got flooded in areas.

So I went to the La Encantada Apple Store. No iPod touch. The iPhone was still advertised at $599 though. I didn't find out it was $399 until I back got to the hotel several hours later. That would have been tempting, had I known.

Went to La Fuente. Bad Mexican food.
Went to Pei Wei Asian Diner. Bad Chinese/Thai/Japanese/Etc. food, but it was packed.
Went to Terra Cotta. Great food.

We wanted to go to Soleil, but it was closed for renovations.

All I know is that water boils at 100° and that can't be the temprature in Arizona. (People, please note an °F when using monkey-degrees, as the ° sign is for Celcius degrees)

Oh and before you cry "arrogant $%#&%%" or whatever, here is a map of the world:

Funny. Everyone else was smart enough to figure it out.

Oh, and it'll be just shy of 100º for the next week.

Who said that 100° automatically means Celsius ?
Is that just your arrogant Spanish monkey-a$$ speaking ?

According to wiki, the "C" is NOT optional.

Yeah, Tucson wasn't designed for rain, so everything floods if it so much as drizzles. Also, people down here don't know how to deal with driving in the rain, so it's usually just a good idea to stay off the roads.

As for the La Encantada Apple Store: it basically sucks balls. Alas, I may be going there later today to buy a shiny new iPod Classic. Is there any chance that you (Eug, or anyone else in Tucson) noticed if they had any in stock?

Wouldn't calling the store give a faster and more reliable answer ?

° is the sign for degrees, whether they be C or F or direction.
