This is slightly strange, I happen to have attended the same schools as several well know musicians:

Went to the same school/schools as:

Jason Kay - Jamiroquai
Fredie Mercury - Queen
Peak Townsend - The Who
Dave Gilmore - Pink Floyd
Alex Pattersson - The Orb
Ray Davis - The Kinks
Ron Wood - The Rolling Stones

These are the only famous people who I share schools with, but the really strange thing is that none of the schools had particularly good music departments.

Anyone else go to school with overpaid stoners?

No rockers that I know of. Dann Florek, who plays Capt. Cragen on Law & Order: SVU went to my high school and my first college. Different years, of course. George Gervin, the retired NBA player (for the Spurs, by the way) also went to Eastern Michigan University, again at a different time from when I did. That's about it.

In Japan? Heh, that’s quite cool. The ex is a great fan

If we include universities, I’m guessing I’ve been at the same university as about half of Denmark’s celebrities, since there are only five universities in Denmark, and mine (University of Copenhagen) is about as big as all the others put together, I think.

List of alumni from Wikipedia. Only internationally known ones would be Niels Bohr, Tycho Brahe, Søren Kierkegaard, and perhaps a few of the recent politicians.

I grew up with Jason Elam, the kicker for the Broncos. All the way from elementary to high school graduation. We were really good friends, but because of 20 years in the Navy I haven't seen him in a loooong time.

I just remembered: back in Kalundborg, I was in the same class with Mia Rosing, whose face currently keeps staring down at anyone taking the Copenhagen Metro, from third till ninth grade. How she ever managed to win that Elite Contest thingy and become all the rage and achieve semi-supermodel status, I’ll never know. Definitely not what I’d call a pretty girl (even with all the make-up and Photoshopping applied).

But she always skinny as all hell; I guess that’s the main feature they look for in models nowadays.

I was home-schooled, but Blink-182 went to the same school as everyone I knew. I was surprised when I saw that local high-school band on MTV.

Wouldn't that be more appropriately mentioned in some other way? Like posting a picture of her? Your post was kind of crass.

If you'd like to crack down on my posting style, that's fine, however my statement wasn't exactly atypical.

Actually, I was in the process of hunting for this to solidify my position:

I don't follow American Idol, but I know I was tired of people talking about him.

Rainn Wilson is awesome. I wish I had gone to my high school at the same time as him.

That may be, but from what I’ve seen of him, he seems to me utterly brainless and monstrously annoying, both in manner and voice. I don’t think I’d be able to be in the same room with him for more than a few minutes before attempting to strangle him.

Went to this school: Eltham College (I know I know, British Private schooling and all that)

From the Dark ages, but well, they were famous...

Eric Liddell - the guy the film "Chariots of Fire' was made about,

and;

Mervyn Peake - who wrote amongst other things 'Gormenghast'

The young lady is indeed stacked. Your earlier post seemed out of line with the tone of the rest of the posts in this thread, and it caught me off guard. Sorry if it sounded harsh-not my intent at all.

It appears nobody famous went to my high school... except maybe my uncle... but I'm not sure if he meets the criteria for "famous". He was a professional baseball player with the Yankees. Back in the day with Maris, Mantel, and the rest. His name is Tom Tresh.

This movie is based on events that occurred at my high school:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0242193/

happened the year after I graduated I think.

Also, Diplo went to my elementary/middle school.
