I'm weak. I've held out this long, but no more. I bow my head with disgrace. I can hold back no longer. Tomorrow is the day. The end.

I'm really bored at work, by the way.

The iPhone itself is excellent. At&t is the only road blocker for me.

Last year, I ported my number from Cingular to T-Mobile. It's pretty straight forward.

Since you're already an AT&T subscriber, I'm sure keeping the same number shouldn't be a problem at all.

You can certainly keep the same number and the entire activation process is handled through iTunes. My previous provider was Verizon and when I activated my phone through iTunes not only did they transfer my number over automatically they even closed my account with Verizon automatically.

Nice. I figured it would be semi-easy. But, I'm still within my 30 days on a new phone blackberry right now, so I can return it. I just don't know what order I should do everything, and if my phone return will cause any problems. Will buying the iphone at apple tonight and activating it, mess up my return of my blackberry tomorrow? o.O No clue. I'll keep searching der internets. Thanks for the info fellas.

As long as you return the blackberry within 30 days there shouldn't be any problem. The service will transfer over to the iPhone as soon as you activate it. It may take up to 24 hours to start receiving calls on the iPhone however.

Everything went smooth..a trend I'm noticing since I joined up with AT&T. Although, I'm in iTunes right now trying to create my apple account, but "account creation service is not available at this time; please try again later."

That'll put a damper on setting up your new phone! I guess I'll just wait..endlessly..

Also, Hefty is the way to go

Matter of fact..I don't even need to create a new account cause I have one. I just thought I did cause it wouldn't let me sign on with the one I use ALL THE TIME! So, it won't authenticate me to my account for iphone setup (yet I can authenticate directly to the store in itunes), and the creation service is down.

Frustrated.

UPDATE: OMG FINALLY!!!!!!!!#%#$^$#. Night.

One cool thing: I just signed up for AT&T DSL (their mid-tier 3 Mb service), and I get free access to their basic wifi points throughout the US. Excellent deal for when I get my iPhone and find myself all over the US.

That would be useful.. I go to Barnes & Noble a lot and they use AT&T wifi. It makes me made that I use AT&T, subscribe to EDGE and have an iPhone yet I can't use AT&T wifi.
