How many of you use the video conference feature on your Macs?

I'm using iChat to keep in touch with my elder son on a road tour
- French horn player - and I'm wondering if there is any other
software video - Mac compatible - that is better?

Are there sites where I can link up with other folks that use
iChat?

I'm a 25 year Apple/Mac enthusiast but am fairly new to the
video use.

I use iChat regularly with my family overseas. My parents have a fairly slow upload (~125k) so the picture is not great. The connection generally is still quite reliable. With my brother we get a tv quality picture (he broadcasts at 800kbps, and I broadcast at ~1200). It is really really nice. i don't think there is anything nearly as good on the mac, and actually even on the PC either. iChat is still the best video chat application.

I use Skype to video chat between two Macs. It works very well. I've never used iChat for video, so I can't compare the picture quality.

A friend of mine is in China and we're using skype. It seems to be the easiest cross platform solution.
