Alright, so I am thinking of taking the LSAT and I bought an LSAT book, which contains 10 actual and official LSAT tests with answers and no explanations. I am having a problem with proving one of the questions if you may....
Basically 6 concerts played on each Sunday for 6 consecutive Sundays.
2 of 3 concerts must be chosen from Giulani, H, J, K
2 of 4 must be chosen from Rodrigo M, N, O, P
2 of 3 from Vivalidi X, Y, Z
If N is selected, then J is also selected.
If M is selected, then neither J nor O can be selected.
If X is selected, then neither Z nor P can be selected.
If both J and O are both selected, then J must be played sometime before O.
X cannot play on the 5th Sunday unless a concert of Rodrigo's is played on the first Sunday.
Which one is a concert that cannot be selected with N?
a) M
b) O
c) P
d) X
e) Z
The answer key says it's a) M, but why?

Because N requires J to be selected and M forbids J to be selected, therefore they cannot be selected at the same time.

Oh, thanks. Somehow that escaped my mind. I got the rest of the answers right though. Sometimes I need to sleep before posting.

Heh heh heh, yeah, that was one you should have picked out immediately! Sleep is very important.
When I did the LSAT I found it very helpful to buy the an official LSAC guide...I believe it had an outline for each section, as well as 3 official tests (it was called "SuperPrep" or something like that). I found it really helpful; much more so than the Kaplan prep book, which had numerous mistakes and questions that didn't seem as clever.
I think most important is not to overstudy. I'd never believe that saying before I did the LSAT, but it's true...keep your mind sharp! I did the LSAT twice; once a year ago, which I cancelled afterwards, and then for "real" last December. I found since none of the law schools I was applying for took a cancelled score into consideration, it made more sense to "scope it out" first – which worked out really well, since it is a little different when you're actually there.
Anyways, yeah...I studied intensely for the first writing, and found that my prep-test scores kept rising and peaked about 8 days before the test, and then sank a full 3-4 points for the entire week up to the exam. I was just powering through sample books and whatnot, and I think I was just seeing so many that I started to "read ahead" and get a little careless. Luckily I recognized that! Funny enough, I did the opposite for the second sitting; I didn't study at all for 2 months after the Sept writing, then a week before I sat down and did a sample test, and finally I went over another games section the day before. I went into it incredibly relaxed (I slept in the morning of!) and supremely confident that I would kill it, and even went for multiple bathroom breaks when I got sections done early, just so I could grab a drink and walk around.
Oh yeah, and I ate a chocolate bar, banana and Red Bull during the break too...hahaha, so dunno if that worked.
That reminds me, I was going to put in a request to LSAC to have my test re-marked. It scored one of my games answers as being left blank, but I got each section done a little early and went down through the circles to make sure I hadn't missed one. I was happy with my score so I didn't check the test until a buddy of mine wanted to look at it this summer, and we noticed that, but I had already been accepted by then and didn't bother. Hmmmm....

Who said anything about it keeping him from living? Maybe he just couldn’t see it and it annoyed him, so he asked his closest friends.

His closest friends? Geez, I hope not.
I mean, you guys are my closest friends. But it's just that I hope for more for my closest friends than to have me as one of their closet friends, ya know?
What was this thread about again?
