Welp, looks like the rumors are true. MS has tossed Bungie out into the alley. Karma is a bitch.

You realize Bungie will make a ton more money as an independent studio? Knowing bungie they wanted to be indie.

$300M in one week? Nice reputation, doubt they'll have any cash issues.

They're still developing for Microsoft platforms. Blah...

I'd like to see them put something out on something other than the XBox 360 or PC. I wonder what they could do with the PS3 or Wii.

I think they should make a strong move back to Mac development. Of course, not entirely Mac, but do something like Blizzard does and do dual platform launches (talking strictly computer games here, not console). Us old school Mac users have a sour taste in our mouths from Bungie leaving us high and dry, even if we understand their motives. And us Mac users have long memories. I think they could really gain some love by coming back to the Mac.

Come back to us Bungie! A Marathon revival would be a beautiful thing!

Oh, I just read the article, and it basically said what I was thinking. Yeah, I should read before I post, I know.

Not holding my breath; the fundamental ethos and spirit of the early Bungie is long gone. Even if they paid lip service by producing Mac titles (most likely branded from another house), it wouldn't be the same.

The way the Wii has sold and is selling, you'd expect everyone to jump on the trend and develop for it. I've heard great things about the Wii. If I have spare time in the near future, maybe it'll be the platform that brings me back to gaming. I haven't played a console since 1998, and don't play any PC game except Diablo II.
