I have it at home. Havent ever had paid service at this house because when I move din I had my choice of three or four open signals, however lately those have dwindled or gotten flaky. I'm fine with paying for cable, however I'm afraid that if they came to install it the free cable I've had for the last two years might disappear. Sooooooooo, I got Clearwire.

Its really not that bad. Latency is slightly higher than alternatives and downloads dont ever exceed about 200k but its very usable for about anything. While the modem isnt exactly tiny the portability is nice since you have internet most anywhere you plug it in as long as you have signal.

Heres what annoys me: They have an option for a PC card modem instead of an AC-powered modem, except that the service is 30 or 40 dollars a month MORE than if you have the standard modem. Thats in addition to the up-front purchase of the PC card, as opposed to the $5/month rental of the standard one. The service is the same, just the method of reception is different, yet they charge you almost double. Annoying.

By the way, service isnt truly mobile, even with the PC card modem. Their system has no capacity to handoff between towers so you only sync with one tower at power-on and stay attached to that tower.
