The show is amazingly hilarious. I figured it had only a few episodes in it before it got tired, but so far, it's funnier every week.

I'm going to strangle whoever decided to put a laugh track on that show.

I've been enjoying it too...the dialogue is genuinely witty and I'm nerdy enough to get a lot of the jokes. My math major friend introduced me to the show...she really likes it too.

What kind of people would it appeal to?

A couple of PhD in physics guys live in an apartment and are socially awkward. Many of the jokes require a moderate level of intelligence, but I think most people could get by, as there are plenty of straightforward jokes.

You don't need to be a brainiac to enjoy it, but the jokes will go above the heads who got a C or worse in Physics and Biology, and those who are not internet dorks.

I just realized that it had laugh tracks playing this past week in the show, but I have been enjoying the show.
I think it has been going up and down in performance overall, some weeks have been very good and witty while others have showed they might be pulling to try to get an episode to work.

Overall a show I will sit down in the evening and enjoy, unless something more important is happening.

Damn it. I'm downloading all of the episodes so far. There should be a consensus whether the show is good or not, like with Pushing Daisies

Like I said, it has its moments.
For a thirty minute show it is probably a one season hit, maybe two. The plot is very thin, they talk about some pretty obvious stuff, but deal with it in logical manners with specific calculations and everything to them is an experiment.

Still waiting for a joke that you need to be a physics geek to get. All seems pretty average to me.

I'll say it if no one else will: this is a terrible show.

Worst. Show. Ever.

Tried to watch and couldn't last 5 minutes. Horrible. Jokes aren't funny, "actors" are terrible, no plot, etc. It's simply a bad TV show.

It's not terrible. It's a pretty average show that will last for one season, but it kept me amused. The jokes are slightly above average for a two guys and a girl style sitcom too, which is a bonus.

Redeem your brain/sense of humour/faith in TV comedy by checking out the really rather marvelous Flight of the Conchords.

Agreed. Flight of the Conchords beat most. Shame their season (maybe their only one as they used up all their long-earned material in season 1) is over.
