I've got a ton of old DVDs that I don't really watch anymore. I figure I'll probably just sell most of them. Is there an easy way to sell a whole lot of DVDs (between 50 and 100, I'd say) and get a fair price for them? Obviously I could list them all individually on eBay, but that's kinda a pain in the ass and would incur a bunch of eBay fees. I could list them all on Craigslist, but then pricing is more difficult.

Is there any site that makes it easy to sell used CDs and DVDs? And if not, should I just make one?

Edit: Actually, apparently Half.com still exists. I had thought that when they got bought out by eBay that their offerings had just been rolled into eBays, but it appears not. I suppose the Amazon marketplace could also be worthwhile.

I think the Amazon marketplace would probably be the easiest since everything is setup for each DVD, you just have to say you have one for sale.

May I ask if you have a full or partial list of the movies in your collection?
My brother buys DVDs in the truck loads and he might be interested if you could supply me with a solid list of what you have and I would relay him to you if he likes any.

Well, I guess I should put together a list (gotta do that anyway, obviously) and post it here.

I sold around 250 movies last year on Craigslist. I listed it as the whole collection for sale and someone actually bought it. I think I ended up getting about $2 per movie. I was in dire need of money and thought I'd give it a try. I was amazed that there was actually interest. Now I've promised myself to never build up a collection again since I can get anything I want from Netflix within a couple days.

Wow, good to know. I was hoping I could put together the list this weekend, but it looks like I'm probably going to be way too busy. I'll see if I can find some free time to do it on Monday, and I'll post it up here once I'm done with it before listing them anywhere else.

If I have any money left over, after I pay my tuition, car payment, etc. You might get a few cents.

nonhuman, do you have an idea of what you're going to use to make the list? I'm currently making a list of my DVDs and using excel is perfect. i have it setup as "movie, rating, year made" and it doesn't matter what order I put them in since you can ask excel to organize it by whatever you want. alpha., year, ect

have fun

Excel is $400, I'm not at all sure the DVDs would clear enough to cover that. Perhaps any spreadsheet would do? Numbers is $79, AppleWorks is free if you have it, OpenOffice is free regardless, and there are several free spreadsheet programs floating around.

Don't mind me. It just looked like a M$ product recommendation.

I already have Numbers, so I'll probably just use that.
