I'm curious, especially from the guys in 'NN (since there are so many women...ahahaha)...

When you're dating a girl, how soon after you start dating do you expect a little action (and by "action" I mean something that requires articles of clothing to be removed)? Two dates? Three dates? Six months? Do you not expect anything at all?

Also: what happens if you don't get what you expect? Do you ditch the girl for someone who puts out fast enough for your liking?

As for getting laid, it honestly depends if the girl is worth it..but even if she was I'd say 3 months of steady dating would be my absolute limit.

But I've only started dating the past couple of years (vs just seeking sex), and am shacked up with a lovely woman.

No. I'm responding from past experience, but if more intimacy takes longer, I'm game if I like her. In any case you can tell by the second encounter if things are going to go further, it's just that I don't think I've ever had to wait long. In fact sometimes they've made the first move before I was actually ready to go that way, but I'm a jolly good sport and I've always followed the hint if it showed up.

It ultimately depends on the person. If she's open/honest and says she wants to wait, that's great if I'm interested in the first place. But I did have an ongoing thing with someone that led to nothing, and it finally occurred to me that she was quite a tease, and quite possibly had a rape fantasy, gathering from a couple of experiences she had related to me. So, no patience for that. Honesty good, tease bad.

Depends, really. I've never had to wait more than a "date" or two ("dating" is such an American thing... it seems so official).

The girls I didn't know before getting with them, maybe 2nd or 3rd time we saw each other. Sometimes first.
The girls I already knew? First time there was any interest, generally.

You basically went where I was going with it. I mean. I wouldn't want to end up married to someone I wasn't sexually incompatible with. I mean. Some chicks are laaame in the sack. I couldn't handle that for the rest of my life.
