Title says it all. I'm in First Place in my league, but the RB's I have left are complete crap.
I managed to snag Maurice Morris, and with Shaun Alexander likely out that was probably a good move. But I still have one other RB slot to fill. Any thoughts?

Kolby Smith.
I thought I read Holmes would only have limited touches this week.

Is Indy's Kenton Keith available? Barring that, what about someone like SF's Maurice Hicks? I believe he runs back kicks, so he should get a few points at the least.

I actually have Keith on my roster too, but he hasn't been getting many quality changes once Addai came back. (At this point in the season, especially with no 1st-rate running backs, I am stockpiling backups in the hopes that one may get a start eventually.)
I think that as long as Holmes is healthy, he'll get the majority of the carries instead of Smith. But is Priest good for 4 quarters?

Get Jackson on the cheap and use him. The Rams actually looked like a NFL team when they have Jackson, especially after coming off a bye they have been nursing their injuries, they may actually win one, and it will all be Jackson.

I'm leaning toward Kolby Smith. Priest is not going to be good for 4 quarters, and KC will probably be running out the clock against a shaky Denver team.
Then I have another dilemma: since the rookie is starting at QB for Carolina, do I dare bench Steve Smith so I can start two of these losers? (I currently have another WR in my WR/QB slot right now....) Probably not, but just watch the rookie be so horrible that Steve Smith doesn't get that many chances....

Well they were all lame. I would have been better off starting Kenton Keith after all.
The good news is that my opponent didn't have much of a team other than the real Adrian Peterson, who didn't have much of a game, either. So, I won anyway!
Looking forward, my problem is that our playoffs are in the final two weeks of the NFL season. So, now that the Byes are done, I need to start planning which backups might be in play when the playoffs come around, and pick them up now. I think Keith will be good to hold onto....
