I was going to upgrade my 28.8 kilobaud Internet connection to a 1.5 megabit fiber optic T1 line, but I couldn't find an IP router that's compatible with my Token Ring Ethernet LAN configuration

Actually ADSL2+, 22Mbit

AT&T here. DSL. I'm so sick of it, honestly. Their customer support is as bad for phone/DSL as it is for cell phones.

I've been thinking of switching over to Suddenlink. Anyone else use it?

i am using comcast, it isn't bad but it's kinda pricey. Why does the internet have to be so expensive. Once i'm on there all I do is spend money on ebay, amazon, apple and more.

I use DSL from verizon wireless. Unlike the commercials from comcast it isn't terribly slow. I do believe it appears to be s skosh slower then comcast but not so much that it interferes with my work. It is cheaper and so far I'm happy with the quality of the service.

I hate comcast, they kept removing features from my package and hiking the price, so I dumped the out right (tv/phone/internet).

I used free wireless from someone at my last apartment until I found out that to leech off someone's unsecured WAP is technically trespassing.

Now I have the cheapest AT&T DSL ($14.99/mo for 768/128kbps). It's slow. But it's cheap, and the speed boost from the next plan isn't worth the extra $5 a month.

I use work internets at work. I think we have a T3 connection to the Internet now, but I really don't remember.
For all the trash I talk, I sure own a lot of Macs...

Before I click on the thread, I thought the poll is about iPhone/iPod touch, big computers, notebooks, PDA, etc.

Qwest DSL 7Mbps download / 896Kbps upload.

I'm on Verizon DSL but only because the minute FiOS become available to me (they've got it in just about all the surrounding towns...) I'm going with that.

I just take the big green tubes, duh. I have to get suited up beforehand, though.

Here is a picture of me and my brother about to go into the internet (we always hug first):

I'm using Comcast Cable. It's a little pricey but the connection is faster and more stable than my previous provider (AT&T/Yahoo DSL). By the way, where's the "leeching off the neighbors open WiFi" option on this poll?

Slick shoes?!! Are you crazy?!!

I used to have a 6mbps line from AT&T and it wasn't too bad. The price was good and my ping was always low.

Now that I moved, we have the standard 1.5mbps line from AT&T and it sucks ass. Ping is high and the connection drops often.

I like my water with hops, malt, hops, yeast, and hops.
