I'll be in Montreal this weekend for the Dropkick Murphys show Saturday, and I haven't been to Montreal in a while. I was wondering if anyone would be so kind as to recommend some bars, restaurants and/or cool stuff to see or do. The show's at a place called Metropolis, and our hotel is two or three blocks from there (near Universite du Quebec a Montreal I believe), so anything walking distance would be great to know. Can anybody hook a brother up with some info? It'd be appreciated.

Well of course you have to go to Schwartz's and get some smoked meat.

I agree on the smoked meat. Get the platter and a full sour pickle. And bring your appetite.

I like the Biodome too - it's beside Olympic Stadium.

The botanical gardens are pretty cool too, they are right across from the biodome. Of course, now is now the season for that...

If you're going to the Dropkick Murphy's, you're probably the type that would be into Foufounes Électriques on St. Catherine. Possibly my favourite trashy rock bar of all time.
