How is it any different than any other big movie push?

Anyways, the trailers look stupid. I'm not interested.

I saw him on Larry King, when he basically lost it over a Seinfeld question. He should have just answered it politely, but instead he showed an enormously conceited side I'd never seen before.

Bee Movie has taken it to the next level. I've never seen a marketing push like this. Especially for such a lame looking movie.

Seinfeld hasn't been cool for a long time.

Seinfeld lost it after I saw him live about three years ago.

It was bad. I mean, it was painfully bad. I've seen better standup at the local comedy clubs in Indy. The tickets, of course, were astronomical - like $150 each. I'm glad I wasn't the one paying.

The guy had his time when he had the biggest sitcom on television for eight (or was it nine?) years. He needs to just fade out already.

Yeah, I despise the "Bee Movie Shorts." The only mildly amusing one I've seen is when Jerry yells at some intern and then finds out its Spielberg's nephew or something.

I haven't seen him interviewed much. I thought he did a pretty good job in his interview on the Daily Show. I thought that his other post-Seinfeld documentary-ish flick, "Comedian," bad production quality aside, was actually pretty interesting.

Seriously, this movie looks terrible. Like, they obviously have a huge marketing budget going into this thing. If this campaign is the most positive light they can cast on it, GODDAMN that must suck.

So seeing that Seinfeld can't seem to live up to anything near what he was doing in the 80's with his sitcom, I wonder if his show's success was more due to Larry David's comedic prowess than his own. I think Larry David is still pretty damn funny, I enjoy Curb Your Enthusiasm. I haven't enjoyed anything Seinfeld has done since his show. I'm wondering if Jerry was just at the right place at the right time for "Seinfeld".

But anyhow, I kind of cringe when I hear he's going to be interviewed on some show I'm watching. He just doesn't have anything to say anymore.

I don't believe he really has much control over how much advertising the movie company does for the movie. Seinfield is a big name so it's not surprising that the movie company is trying to advertise as much as possible.

I agree with Eug. How is this really different from any other big budget movie or it is just Seinfield you don't like? The commercials don't really bother me much. I've just learned to ignore most advertisements.

Saw that too. Originally I thought it was done tongue-in-cheek, but on second viewing it seems he really was just being a jerk.

I'm a massive Seinfeld fan, but I think that Jerry is actually a lot more like the character on the show than people realize. He's probably just as self-centered as his character was.

Still doesn't change the fact that it's one of my favorite TV shows of all time.

Bee movie ads annoyed the hell out of lot of people here in Hollywood. There's ads everywhere with incredibly stupid tagline "HONEY JUST GOT FUNNY"

Don't forget that this is basically a kid's movie we're talking about here. Me thinks that your average MacNN forum poster isn't exactly the target demographic so I wouldn't get too worried about it.

That said, it's actually a pretty good movie to take your kids to, imo. They will like it - it's entertaining, funny (enough), and has a strong moral about the circular nature of life/society that, surprisingly, isn't even totally cliched.

I looked that clip up on youtube and I think he was just being silly with King for being asked such a dumb question. There's a lot of cool stuff he could be asked about the old show, but King wastes his time and ours asking stuff like whether the show failed or succeeded? I think Jerry made it into a good joke instead of just being all serious and explaining again how he didn't want it to grow stale. That being said, that Bee movie looks terrible. I wonder if it's any good. What's the buzz?

Between the over-saturated Bee Movie ad campaign, the mean-spirited dressing down of Larry King, and the un called-for ad hominem attacks on that book author, Jerry Seinfeld has exposed his true self: a rich, arrogant piece of s4it.

Love his show, but f--k him as a person.
