gizmodo.com and do a search. They have a love for digital picture frames and seem rather honest in their reviews.

Wait. They make these things now? So you can just set your pic frame to grab all your good pics out of iPhoto?
Been inclined to wander... off the beaten track.

They've been making them for a couple of years now. The only problem was size, price, and storage. Now there are plenty of affordable wi-fi and memory card models. Wi-fi models work as a network share, the memory card models just require you to put your photos on a card and then the card in the frame.

You could also get any old non-wifi digital frame and use a wifi-SD card to make it wireless.

Kodak seems to be making rather decent frames at a decent price and their recent models got good reviews on CNET, though their wi-fi doens't work with Macs. Phillips also is making some nice frames, but at a higher cost point. Seems a decent one can be had between $100-150 at a size of between 6-8 inches. I also find Wi-fi to be a bit... lame in many of these models.

(My father just asked me to do some research as he wants to buy my mom one for her office.)

Hmmm... looks nice. I do enjoy the look of the frame. I the the ability to "email a picture directly to the frame" to be very useful (and leaves a big door open for problems he he he) if it actually works.

I did enjoy this 'feature' in its list of 'features': "Dual Use Mode: If no Wi-Fi connection is available, the eStarling frame can operate as a stand-alone digital photo frame."

Well... duh.

I did some quick research and see that its a tad bit expensive for an 8in frame, $270 on amazon compared to $170 for a Kodak, and it also has some bad reviews. I'd love to hear how yours works out because I really do like its feature list and hardware.

Read Chris Pirillo's review. The kodak forces you to have that Kodak service whereas the eStarling has a boatload of RSS feed options.

My eStarling arrived today. I set it up at work even though we have no wifi here. Connecting it to my Mac mounted it as a drive. I dragged a few pics to it and boom - they showed up without a fuss. I'll be trying out the wifi stuff later. It's a nice frame, but I can't find anything to adjust the screen based on the viewing angle.
