I just checked my email to find that my research project, Jester (an online joke recommender), had gotten 3,000 users today. It doesn't normally break 100 people per day, so I was obviously shocked. I tracked the visitors to the following article:

In 2:15 of the video, the guy demonstrates Jester.

Can someone help me understand what the video is about, and what is said about Jester? Why did spiegel link to it?

Ehrensenf is an anagram of "Fernsehen" ("television") and is a regular, tongue-in-cheek online video blog on what's hot, funny, useless, entertaining, or stupid on the internet.

spiegel.de is one of the (if not *the*) most popular German news sites (it's the online version of the legendary German news magazine Der Spiegel), and it strikes a balance between news and (for my taste too) boulevardesque "infotainment", of which Ehrensenf is a regular feature.
