So, I get these two CDs today. Both are 2-CD sets.

Halo 3:
Disc 1's info is correct.
Disc 2's info is screwed up.

Unreal Tournament 3:
Both CDs' info is screwed up

I don't know who's inputting these CDs, but they're wrong. If I fix them and submit them, how do I know the fixed versions will get overwritten in CDDB?

I once bought several songs at once and months later realized I hadn't gotten one of the tunes.

They did a 'make good,' no prob.

And one of the versions of a classical number wasn't as I expected in one passage. (It was a song I know well.)

They did another make good.

^ completely missed the topic.

Often, Gracenote will return two or three track listings for the same album. I always assumed that this is what happens when people upload track info for the same album several times.

It always annoys me when people who obviously can't spell or just don't bother to get it right submit track info.

Don't they realize that their carelessness affects potentially *millions* of users?

Gotta love the zillion "Greatest Hits" titles on GraceNote too. I have a number of Greatest Hits CDs, and I always have to go in and fix stuff. One of the few things I use Windows for anymore is to use Musicmatch to bulk-fix tags. I'm hoping to find a Mac ID3 tagging app soon so I can stop using even that (and Yahoo bought the app and has already watered it down...). I wish iTunes made it easier to fix things on whole albums...

MP3 Rage does everything I need done that iTunes won't.

iTunes does multi-song editing though...?

Yeah, but it's not as easy as I'd like. Maybe I'm picky. One thing Musicmatch does very well is to add album art to the song, not some external database. I really like that.
