So, love Peter Gabriel. Anyone else? His music is just awesome along with his videos.
What's he doing these days?
Great guy especially with world music.
P.S., Merry Christmas, MacNNers.

I think he's a favorite of everyone's, but then I log on here and only two people care to respond to this thread, so apparently he's not that much a favorite as I thought he would be. I lent my 15-year old kid his music (he'd never listened to Gabriel) and he said, "Wow! This guy is great!" Anyway, not only is his music great, but also what he's done for the music industry in general, including world music.

That's just cause it's an incredibly lame thread.

Things getting cold and dreary up in the far northern recesses of Scandinavia, Analog? (Or are you from Germany? I sometimes I get our Germanic members' home countries confused)

A favourite of mine he is not, but I do like a lot of his works. Especially the older works are extremely good. I wasn't much of a fan of the transition to a more synthetic music style in the mid-nineties.

I'm kind of with you. Big fan of old Genesis (carpet crawlers among other tunes) and a fan of both Phil and Peter; very good writing from both.
The only problem I have is the knack they have to go off into self-indulgent silliness. Some "eagle" song with Paula Cole among other breaks of songs that while fun for them to play, is not particularly interesting to listen to.

*pokes head in helpfully*
"I think Peter Gabriel is bland and colourless, and his music perfectly reflects that. And that blowing bagpipe thing is lame."
*nods, closes door*
