I'm happy. I'm scared. I feel like all the hype and now being an nationally simulcast game is taking this game to a level where they are jinxed/doomed. Will the Giants play starters? Will the Pats? Though it has no bearing on the post-season, this game is gonna be quite the show.

While I have been a fan since I met Steve Grogan at training camp in 1982 (hey- 25 years- yay), I feel like the current crowd is either loving them or hating. I'm not saying what I predict- because as any New England sports fan knows- our mere thoughts affect the outcome of games.

But- whaddya y'all think of the matchup Saturday night?

EDIT: I shoulda made a poll... sorry. Can't now

Don't know but I think it will be a good game. I've got a friend here in the City who hails from Cape Cod and I think I've talked her into holding a party on Saturday (now that the game is simulcast). So, the New York fans are going to gather at her place and we'll see what happens.

My prediction are: a Pats win but by less than 7 points and overall scoring being relatively low (total combined points under 45).

I hope the Patriots blow it -- seriously, they just aren't fun to watch for me. It's like watching a robot football team.

Ditto that to the max. What bothers me more than anything is when they win by 40 and Belicek says something like, "Yeah, we could have done much better and have lots of room for improvement."

If I had my way, I'd like to see them beat the Giants and lose in the playoffs.

Yeah this would be my ideal scenario, as well. Out in the first round would be more sweet. Would be like an NBA Dallas vs. Golden State scenario but even sweeter.

yes they will win - my hope is that they either get beat by my steelers or get all the way to the superbowl and lose to the cowboys

I hope they make it, but there's some serious pressure on their shoulders.

I think its over-kill that the NFL is now broadcasting it on three networks. Talk about greedy.

They went from the NFL network which almost nobody gets to putting it on cbs & nbc. All in the interest of the fan. Ha, they're only interested in one thing $$$ they saw the dollar signs in having it broadcast on two networks.

I may not even watch it, Saturday evening games are a tough one. The wife and I usually have a dinner out that night. Time with her, is more important then watching a bunch of millionaires play a kids game.

I think the Giants are looking past this game to their playoff game next week. The game against the Patriots means nothing to them, they need to beat Tampa so the Giants will bench their key players to avoid injuries. Patriots 52-3.

No I don't think they're looking past this game and I really don't think they're going to rest their starters wither.

The Giants have not played well at all the past few weeks. They want to enter into the playoffs firing on all cylinders and in order to do that they must play. also the weight of the NFL and broadcasting on three networks is impacting them too. They're not about to play their second stingers or not bring their "A" game to such a monumentus game.

I think the key to the game for the Patriots is to stop the run and force the game in to Eli Manning's hands. The giant show themselves to be a weaker team when they cannot run the ball and need to pass. His decision making as a quarterback has not been the best.

Why so many haters? Geez. I've never experienced this. Sorry they are just plain GOOD. As a longtime fan, I have never seen such a team. Y'all are just hatin' for no reason. Where's abe?

I really didn't feel one way or the other about the Pats until this year; now I really, really, really want them to lose.

I don't hate them, but I'm really starting to feel that underdog love for anyone playing against them. Ideal scenario for me: Pats vs. Cowboys in the Super Bowl, with the Cowboys pulling off the revenge upset.

Of course, that's not going to happen. The Pats will win it all, and I'll cringe through it all.

And now it's possible that they'll get McFadden in next year's draft?

I never liked them at any time in their existence. They are good but I don't have to like them, and I never will. Hate isn't a strong enough word if you want an honest answer.

We have the right to hate any sports team we want, and right now they're on the top of my list. I would be fine if they were excited about winning and saying they're a great team (which they are as far as being 15-0), but when they say they have lots of room for improvement that's just bullsh!t.

I am not that big of a Patriots fan myself. But they are a powerhouse and are doing well this season. I think they may pull it off.

It's been talked about quite a bit on sports radio. Dominating teams are disliked by sportsfans from other teams. People hated the Raiders/Cowboys/Yankees/Celts/ and the list goes on.

Until recently what was to dislike about the Pats. After 9-11 the Patriots came onto the SuperBowl field as a team rather than individuals, and the speech by Kraft afterward was to a degree on of those unifying moments after terrible tragedy.

Later as they racked up winning seasons I can see where the dislike might set in, and after the spygate incident people had the additional reason they needed to justify their disdain. The videotaping had no relevance to the success of this team but nevertheless it was a good ammo.

Who could dislike Brady? Very unsmug, focused and incredibly gifted. Moss, a complete attitude turnaround once he got onto a team that showed promise.

Rodney Harrison - well, the haters have a point there.

Of course I'm rooting for them, love the ride for as long as it lasts. The Sox, Pats, Celts - Sometime in the future we fans will look back as these same teams which will be floundering in the middle of the pack and cherish the golden era of Boston sports.

Yeah, I'm a lifelong Buffalo Bills fan, so I have that dimension to my hatertude, in addition to the Patriots' maddening perfection.

Who likes watching a complete rout, anyway?

The only thing better than a 16-0 Patriots team is an 0-16 Lions team.

I thinks the Pats will win. I personally think it would be cool if they got a 16-0 season, although i would be even happier if the Hawks had that season. Best of luck to both teams. I hope that the Giants can put up a good fight. I just think the Pats will pull ahead.

The Patriots are the most boring team I've seen in the NFL. Like robots.

Yeah they'll probably win 16-0. The Superbowl? Don't know about that though.

The playoffs are only distantly related to the season.

Hopefully they'll wear their players out so bad trying to go 16-0 that they can't sustain the energy a playoff run demands.

Wow, Pats won by a field goal in a helluva game. It felt like the playoffs, the Giants played well for a stretch but just weren't good enough to beat the Pats machine.

That's called having a system. A system that works. Through all 16 games. Sour grapes mate. The Patriots are a terrific team. (Red Sox too )

It was an honestly great game, a real nail biter and I thought the Pats lost it coming into the 2nd half. Tons of tension from both teams. Manning was amazing and best player of the night. Let's see how the rest of the Pats' season plays out. I hope they continue.

But not 16 games. And additionally not the record for TD passes, and receiver receptions, and single season points on top of that.

The Fridge was pretty cool (pun intended), but when was that... way back in the 80's?

It is however, just a game. There are more important fish to fry these days.

Brady- 356 Manning-251.\\But-dayum that was close. No thanks to more like that.

Really? Against real competition -- that excludes you, Miami -- they've only had 1 blowout since Thanksgiving.

I was shooting a little pool last night and there were more than a few haters there. I ended up having more than a few brews and kind of lost track of the game once my g/f brought me home. I wasn't worried once the machine (a bad thing I guess?) turned on in the 4th quarter, but I cursed Moss to the heavens for dropping that 50-something yard bomb! Luckily they ran the same exact play and got a TD right after....but still.

So all the haters can continue to hate, it really doesn't bother me. Just try to be less annoying than those drunkies I saw last night

You've got to wonder how the Giants are going to be up for next week's game. They were so emotionally up for this one and were oh so close to winning. A lot of times the following week of such an emotional game the teams play flat. The only difference now is that its the play offs.

I hate the giants so I do hope they lose.
