I don't think so. The trackpad looks fake because of the aforementioned blending.

Also, I doubt Apple would make such a ridiculously huge trackpad.

It would be pretty awesome if it was that size and doubled up as a graphics tablet!!

No. Apple would never put out a design this ridiculous. If the trackpad is that huge to suggest added multitouch functionality (as rumored), then wouldn't my putting my palms down to type kind of defeat that purpose?

That would be a good idea, but I still don't buy that huge button.

Id say the biggest giveaway is that it doesn't make sense to have the palms of your hands resting on your trackpad. It moves the freaking mouse.

Oh, and:

i'm glad they didn't continue their oversensitive and useless "Mighty Rat" buttons on this thing Not that I take this picture for real but, the size is good but it looks really boring. SSH drive, LED display.. those are the nice things that should give it a loong battery life

If it was going to be a new Macbook mini or whatever, wouldn't Apple make it look like a new design instead of a miniature version of a Macbook Pro?

If Apple was making a new tower for the new architecture, wouldn't they make it look different from the old tower?

ZOMG!1!ONE! I would throw that out the wind0ze. So stupid. !11

I love how we always make fun of these things. I bet Apple just throws these bad photoshop jobs up on the internet to get a feel for what people don't want.

It's either a Swedish dorm room, or the desk of an Apple engineer who happens to be reading Angels and Demons in Swedish.

It's interesting that the laptop is considerably thinner and narrower than the current MBP, though.

While I agree the picture is a big fakola, I didn't realize Apple was selling iPhones in Sweden.

The iPhone isn't sold in Sweden, but the iPod Touch is.

And quite a few people here are starting to have iPhones, too, regardless of the fact that they don’t sell them.

Go to the US, get a local friend to buy one for you, bring it back home, and have it unlocked. No less than three guys at work have done this (two of them Swedish).

The iPhones that come with 1.1.2 out of the box include a new bootloader, which has yet to be hacked around. Thus, no unlocks for these phones yet. :-P

At the University where I used to work, all of the staff members that had Dell laptops got the docking stations and external monitors. The Apple users were forced to either just sit there with a laptop or individually plug in 5 different things when they wanted to "dock" their laptop.

I've always loved that they used a screen shot of teh NN forums for that. A true classic.

It'd be more fun if you drop the portable in from the top and have it pop up, when ejecting.

Maybe they could put a toaster eject slider on the side

I'm looking at my MacBook and if I hold it facing me with the Apple logo the correct way up, the ports are on the right hand side and the cdrom on the left hand side.
Either that dock is for a new laptop with ports on the right and cdrom on the left, or they drew the Apple logo the correct way to signify that it's an Apple laptop.

I hope it's option b and it gets released for existing MacBooks.

I hope it is a fake. I hoped that too when the new iPod Nano images were leaked, people called it a fake and, boing, it turned out they weren't fakes. I still don't like the visual appeal of the new iPods and I won't like the new Macbook visually either if these turn out to be the real thing.
