Just caught this on BBC Knowledge, a fantastic idea for a TV show (filmed in 2003).

2 Navy Seals
1 Royal Marine
1 Pathfinder Tracker

Working as a 4 man team to track and catch ex SAS man Chris Ryan (same guy who ran 200 Miles across the desert to escape iraqi forces in the 1st gulf war).

3 episodes, 1 Jungle, arctic and one desert.

I love this stuff!

It's a nice show for survivalfans, but I like the programs like "Extreme Survival" of Ray Mears better. It's a bit more useful for the average traveller I think survival appeals to many men, as it's a far greater challenge to be on your own in nature than filing out your tax forms correctly

Then the program merges with CSI, which morphs into Prison Break.
The possibilities are endless!

In the first episode the Pathfinder set of a grenade boobytrap grenade and the SEAL got really tired and asked to be evacuated (his feet were sore), I get the feeling they may have skimped a bit with the hunters.

mr Ryan hasn't been in active service for 10 years so his hunters may not be the best of the best, yes..last episode I checked one of the hunters had a beard and the rest were flown instead of legging it. it should ring a bell when you get 3angled shots of the fugitive

hardly survival if Chris Ryan has to lug either a camera or a film crew with him
we don't have time to stop for gas

I think the point is he doesn't have a film crew with him, he makes a couple of RV's with a film crew but 90% of his shots are filmed by himself on a small video camera. Of course its not entirely an honest depiction of what he would do (he radio's his plans into base so we can see it on a map) , but its TV.
