It is time for Hollywood to bow out for the new movie producers of the world.
Horay for Guillermo del Toro

I saw it last week and it was pretty damn good. Not as visually impressive as Pans and honestly felt very much like his other movie the Devils Backbone. I'd say it is his second best movie.
A couple gore scenes but nothing too bad. The movie really feels the movie "the others" but has a better story.
The story is a bit predictable but the ending still has a bit of a twist.

I just finished watching it and I was pleased with it, but it was perhaps a little bit predictable. The twist in the end made it a bit different from your usual horror film, which was nice.

I could take Sean Connery in a fight... I could definitely take him.

Yeah, I forgot to post a followup. I wasn't very thrilled with it. After I figured out how the movie was going to end 10 minutes into it, I gave up on it. Ugh.
Still love Pan's Labyrinth and I'm looking forward to Hellboy 2. I just hope he gets the OK to finally make At the Mountain of Madness or Call of Cthulhu.

Oh yes, I absolutely love Pan's Labyrinth - a timeless classic - and am really looking forward to Hellboy 2 and the Hobbit.
I'm one of those people who liked Hellboy, thought it was a well thought out comic adaption.
I don't really have words to describe Pan's Labyrinth.. when the film ended I felt tears running down my cheeks.

People here are talking like he directed this.
He only produced it.
It is a pretty good film, but doesn't stand up quite against Del Toro's own films, (his Spanish language ones anyway).

I prefer the term "orphanarium".
