globeandmail.com: Berlin burglar finds corpse, calls police

Heh. Guy breaks in, finds dead body, feels obliged to call police. Then hangs up and flees, cuz he's a burglar.

Not the best haul either that night I guess.

Not a bad move at all. The body would have eventually been found. And with evidence of a break-in, the thief would have been at the top of the suspect list.

However, he could have gotten a better haul, then called it in from a payphone across town.

I don't really think calling a dead body in to the cops qualifies one as a "good samaritan".

I'm with reader, it was a smart move.
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

It would have been even smarter if he'd stolen the body, he might have got over a thousand Euros for parts. I checked on this website last week, my own body would be worth around 2.5k. (Don't get any ideas, burglars!)

How clever. And there would be absolutely ZERO risk involved

Well, maybe not, but a lot of burglars would have just freaked and ran.

Except for Hamburglar.
