I think the best dialog is always between Ben and John. One moment, Ben is (seemingly) setting him up as his replacement, the next his is belittling him. Sometimes Ben bestows deep secrets, then he is confusing John with riddles.

Last night had some great lines... "didn't he just say not to put metal in there?"

I think these two are the most interesting characters. Then Desmond. Then Hurley. Jack's starting to wear very thin. I like where Sun's character is going.

I liked this season, short as it was. It didn't need to be longer to end that plot arch. I will be looking forward to season 5.. the next to last season of Lost.

I could take Sean Connery in a fight... I could definitely take him.

I think this has been my favorite season.

Looks like next season will be a good one. Ben + Charles = Total war.

I suspect we will might just see one side of the story for most of next season, kind of like seeing just half the plane survivors for a while. If so, I hope it's the "bad things" that happen on the island after the others are rescued. It would be good to give Jack and crew a rest.

i rented season 1 when the hurricane was hitting houston (where I was living at the time) and we watched the whole thing in two days.

then i watched two episodes in season 2 and felt like it would never end... gave up.

This season has been decent, and the last few episodes have been very good about pace and wrapping up story lines. I feel like some stragglers have been closed and there is a theme of refocus and new plot momentum.

Your loss.

As a person who loves a mystery, I can't understand people who've given up on the show. They had me hooked in S1, but the announcement of the end date has revitalized the show and made it even more compelling. We know we're going to get the answers and we're being taken on a fantastic ride in the meantime. The way they gave us clue after clue that Bentham was really Locke without making it blatantly obvious until the end was outstanding.

i say no way you'll get answers.
you'll be left in the cold, confused, with loose ends, like a mormon polygamist's child

So what did Ben mean when he said to John "I'm sorry for all I've put you through"? Anybody think Ben has been messing with John long before he got to the island? We know Richard has been involved in John's life since childhood.

Maybe. On the other hand, we've seen Ben play with his mind, shoot him, and leave him for dead, so he could've been talking about that.
