You obviously haven't met many communists. Or at least not people who grew up in communist countries...

Yup, my time zone: two and a half hours ago.

(I did have night shift last night [and tonight, for that matter], so I was home from work at 9:30 AM and went to bed between 10 and 10:30 AM... but still!)

I also hate that now that I'm older, I grow these really long and stupid nose hairs that annoy the crap out of me, and have to be tweezed. If I don't tweeze them, they fall out anyway. Our house probably has hundreds of my nose hairs lying around.

I just had breakfast (brunch) at like 3:30 in the afternoon. They call it brunch, but eggs served with coffee is breakfast.

And I have about 65 restaurants within a 5 minute walk that do this on weekends. I pity you.

Yeah.. What's so special about breakfast? I mean, they can do anything: pizza, burgers, pasta, steak, seafood, poutine, etc all day long, but by some magical phenomenon, are unable to serve breakfast past a ridiculously early hour in the morning..

Jack in the Box serves breakfast all day. Strangely enough, they also have the healthiest breakfast out of all the fast food places.

You should surprise your wife and harvest them to make bed pillows. I can assure you from personal experience that women love nose hair pillows, it's one of those frilly romantic things like potpourris and goat phlegm.

Where are you, and what restaurants are you having this problem with? While a lot of fast food places shift from breakfast to lunch at between 10:00 and 11:00, most of the sit-down restaurants around me keep serving breakfast at least until 11:00 on Saturdays and maybe as late as 1:00pm on Sundays. And there's always IHOP and Cracker Barrel for breakfast almost all the time (though Cracker Barrel does close overnight).

ihop, cracker barrel, bob evans, rams horn, big boy, etc serve breakfast during all open hours. you must have similar chains in your area. national coney island and their like also do breakfast 24/7.

as for fast food breakfast, that isn't breakfast...or food

10:00 am is hardly what I would consider a "ridiculously early hour in the morning".

Indiana.

I wanted to give this place "Ryan's" a first chance. Nada. Well, that'll also be the last time I go there.

This also happened to me with some bagel shop / caffees (no chains). I dunno...
And, of course, all the fast-food places. WTF do they stop serving breakfast early in the morning ? I'll never understand...

Well, I'm glad I always have my local pancake house to fall back on.

And yes, IHOP, Crakcer Barrel and Bob Evans are around here as well. They got it right with all day breakfast.

If the Ryan's was the same chain I'm familiar with, it's a steak place, or more technically a steak-oriented buffet. No big loss there. I'd suggest Shoney's but I don't know if they exist in many places anymore.

And I also have to say that "10:00am is not ridiculously early" on any day of the week, weekends included. If a place stopped serving breakfast at 10:00 it would almost never impact me. I'm an early riser from years of enforced early starts of work, and now getting to sleep in until 7:00 or so is sleeping in quite a bit for me.

Well, there is a difference between serving a healthy breakfast and serving the healthiest breakfast, but...

Fast Food Restaurants & Nutrition Facts Compared

If you look at the numbers, Jack in the Box compares pretty favorably (with a few exceptions, their spicy chicken biscuit got one of the worst scores. I've never even seen a spicy chicken biscuit at Jack in the Box though. Spicy chicken biscuits for breakfast?)

Well we were BOTH military for a while, then she got out and went back to school and is now a nurse-which means early mornings no matter what. I retired but I still get up with her because it's a chance to spend time together, even if we do look like we just crawled out of bed. Oh wait-we did. Whatever. 23 years of getting up really early sort of make it hard to not get up really early. At least our "regular" time to get up isn't 3:30am anymore... Long story about a not so nice part of our lives...

No, it's the same time of day whether it's Monday, Thursday, or Saturday/Sunday - it's not "ridiculously early" no matter what day of the week it is. Especially if you are accustomed to getting up at 6:00 am or 6:30 am on weekdays, 10:00 am is late. For many (dare I say most?) working people, sleeping in on the weekends is 8:00-9:00 am.
