Viewable throughout most of the US and western Europe, I hope some of you guys and gals out there can take some cool pictures.
It is expected to be clear above Detroit tonight. I'll at least try to look without freezing my a$$ off (gonna be 10 degrees).

Here's a photo I took at 8:45 p.m. from Minnesota. The photo isn't very clear due to the movement of the moon during the long exposure. By the way, the temperature here was -5.4° F. Of course, I took this from inside through a window where it was a comfortable 68° F.

The moon is completely obscured right now, however it doesn't matter because of broken cloud cover. Basically, I can't see that I can't see the moon.

What I found amazing looking up at the sky was that I could see the planet Saturn. To the left and slightly down. Now, I couldn't tell it was Saturn, but the internet told me that's what it was.
It was about 8 degrees F outside, but as luck would have it, the sky was clear and I could see the moon from one window of my house. I didn't have to freeze myself for even a second.

Gorgeous last night. I could see it through my windows crisp and clear. No need to brave the sub-zero temps.
I was surprised at how long it took to get from one sliver of light on the right side to one sliver of light on the bottom. It stayed as a solid dark moon for quite some time.
I was also surprised to learn that the reappearance of that sliver of light wasn't directly opposite where it disappeared. However, that picture above seems to explain it.
