I'm a long time MacNN'r and I'm working on a new project that could use some feedback (or might actually be useful to some of you). I've worked for a few years as an LSAT prep instructor and think it's crazy how expensive this stuff is. So, I'm starting a website aimed at giving out good LSAT preparation material for free or damn close to it.
I'm starting out by putting up one question every day from a different LSAT and explaining how to approach it. I'm finishing/editing the first of my overall study guides that'll be posted soon.
Anyway, I could use some feedback, not only on the concept, but the site itself. So, without further ado, I present, LSAT Ace
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Hell, maybe one of you is thinking about law school and this would actually help, who knows.

It's a good idea, in terms of how much expensive crap is out there for studying the LSAT. I bought a Kaplan book when I first started studying and it was mistake-ridden and badly written.
Having said that, I personally don't think anyone would need anything more than the official LSAC test prep books. They've got nice little explanations, they're well done, and they're fairly cheap. I tend to think anything else is just a waste of time.

That's essentially what I'm trying to go for. I'm just going a little more in-depth in the explanation area (all the LSAC books give you is the answer keys, not WHY one thing is a better answer over another).
I think the primary benefit for anyone who does test prep is just forcing them to take the time to study. If you're self-motivated and can get some decent materials, spend a little time everyday on it and you'll improve.

Yeah, I read through a couple. LSAC does give explanations but generally not for actual, recent tests like you can do on there. I think if you're able to get some more material online and get a little database going, the site would do very well.
You're right though, LSAT tests are expensive. I didn't do one myself, but the school emailed an Oxford teaching position out this weekend. They require a high score but they pay $850 to teach a weekend seminar. That's pretty serious cash, so I can only imagine what they're charging people to take it!

The company I worked for charged a little over $2k for a class. Usually 10-15 students in a class, so you can do the math. They paid their instructors pretty well and definitely had the best materials of any of their competitors, but still, it's insane.

Yeah, pretty crazy.
Funnily enough, I did that December LSAT for the first question you have up. Don't remember it at all though.
