Uh, yeah, in the last few DAYS since this was posted, it's been found that the whole thing might be fake.

How is it fake? I saw the marine pick up a dog and throw it.
It's not a funny "joke."
Just watched it again and yep, he threw the puppy head over heels through the air.
Not a hoax and not funny. The dog is yelping.

I don't think it's real, ♥. If it had been real, the cameraman would not have conveniently allowed the guy's hand to be obscured for seconds before the throw. It was a stuffed animal, IMO.

Oh, come on. Just because it's on youtube doesn't mean it's real.

Don't worry, Doofy, I'm sure that killing was fully in accordance with that wonderful legal system known as Sharia. Coming to a country all too near you, courtesy of Islam.

Can't imagine someone doing that to a poor defenseless dog much less a human being.

If it IS true, I suggest they throw the marine off the same spot to go look for the dog... and tie HIS arms and legs together.
This is why I hate people!

He's a batstatrd?
Anyway, I guess we'll find out soon enough whether or not it was real. I don't know. My gut says fake, and I find that a more pleasant reality, so I'm going to go with that for the moment.

Wow, thats so obviously fake it hurts. Puppies, particularly when picked up by the neck, are not inanimate. Thats the first tip off. The second is the one frame when he's winding up the throw and tilts it back.. yet it shows no movement or bending that you would expect from an animal held by its neck.

Guess you didn't read the part at the bottom of the article where it said the guy was arrested and will probably get beheaded (thus prompting Doofy's comment about the death penalty).
Save it for the political lounge.

Pretending to do mean things is often considered funny. In fact, it's the basis of practical jokes.

More info:
From David Motari 'the Puppy Killer' MySpace page:
MySpace...
http://infowars.com/images/motari.jpg
"I want to say first of all that I am really sorry for the whole puppy thing. I don't know why people are so pissed. It was a ****ING STRAY!!! Get the **** over it! You know how many people I see get blown away on a regular basis?!?! **** Man Not only the towle heads out here but my own friends!"
~
David Motari 'the Puppy Killer' just updated his MySpace page:
"I want to clear somethings up before tomarrow. This might be hard to believe but I am sorry about the dog. At the time I just really didn't care. When you are constantly under fire sometimes people develope a different sence of humor than what others are used to. That video was from over a year ago and i dont know who put it out there but it wasn't me. It has been a real hard day. I don't know how they got my information but someone got all my information and i had to disconnect my parents and my girlfriends phone. not to mention i had to redo my myspace because it got hacked. I just want this to end."
And:
"What, you expect me to carry a stray sick dog from patrol 10+ miles back to camp with me. Did you know that we're not supposed to have dogs? Did you know that there isn't medicine available for animals out there? So what the **** do you want me to do with it. It was going to die a slow and horrible death.
Sorry you guys saw that, but it wasn't supposed to ever been shown. Usually what happens is we shoot them. I was being "creative" that day and decided to throw the dog instead. If i could take it back, I would. Either way, I did the dog a favor. Sorry if you can't understand that."
AND:
"Look, you guys didn't know that the dog was sick and starving by the road. I was helping it. That dog was going to die anyways"
~
Michelle Malkin says:
Michelle Malkin » 2008 » March » 03...
"The puppy doesn't move. It's clear to me that it's either dead or a stuffed toy. The sound effects of a dog yapping seem to have been dubbed in"
~ But Michelle Malkin is wrong because the Marine Killer that killed the Puppy said:
"I am really sorry for the whole puppy thing. I don't know why people are so pissed. It was a ****ING STRAY!!! Get the **** over it!"
~ So he admits to the facts that the Puppy was alive when he threw it off the cliff.

Have you ever actually had a dog with puppies? Picking a puppy up by the neck is the best way to insure that they are inanimate. That goes for puppies, kittens, piglets, hampster pups, even ratlets and mouslets (or whatever the young of rats and mice are called).

Hey guys, let's make a video of me throwing a fake puppy all to hell and mention my name so my family back home in Snohomish will get death threats and need 24 hour police protection. Wouldn't that be the shizznyk.

The link above is missing the first 5 minutes of the video where he tricks the puppy into thinking he got an xBox 360 for Christmas.

That looked real to me. I was really, really, really hoping that it was fake, but I have never seen a stuffed animal look that realistic.
And if you pause it when his hand goes back to throw, as the arm is going forward, it still looks like a real puppy. It's the shape of the animal that makes me think that it is real.
Animal cruelty laws need to be much stronger everywhere.
I hope he rots in jail.

Considering the guy who did it admitted to it being real, It's probably safe to say that it isn't fake by now.

Apparently he also threw another puppy up in the air and shot it in the air also, according to another report.
The guy is a sicko and deserves to go to prison for it.
And what about WHY they videotaped it? What's with that?

It never ceases to amaze me how so many overreact to story's like this.
Yes, I think he has problems. Yes, he's a dick. Yes he's immature. Yes he should receive some sort of punishment if that's what the Military code says.
What I don't get is how in the hell does a puppy killer deserve 15 YEARS? Or to be thrown off of a cliff? Death threats? Really…WTF?
I know I am pretty much alone here, not many want to stick their necks out and say anything that could be viewed as siding with a puppy killer. But you guys are ridiculous. You sound like a bunch of self-righteous assholes.
Do me a favor, do us ALL a favor. This year, stay home on election day. Thanks.

Dakar, you're absolutely right about that ^^^ post.
Sure, it was *only* a dog and not a human being.
But what about the shrinks and data that show that people who abuse and kill animals are quite likely to do the same to human beings? I'm sure that the guy who did this (don't want to call him a soldier because he doesn't deserve that distinction) is probably guilty of mistreating and/or killing people also.

I don't agree with that entirely. I also imagine there'd be more outrage if the soldier threw a baby or child or woman or man off a cliff.
Yes, people get pretty emotional about this. A lot of people take exception to when something/one with no ability to defend itself is mistreated for no reason.
Unlike people getting blown up, the puppy doesn't have the cognitive ability to recognize it's in a bad situation and leave.

QFT.
You can tell a lot about a person by how he treats animals. It's a given that we don't want humans mistreated (except those who deserve it, obviously) but it's when we start thinking that animals have lesser rights to life than us that we start getting into the realms of unfounded superiority complexes.
Sure, the animals don't design weapons of mass destruction with which to annihilate each other or other such markers of civilisation but that doesn't make them any less worthy of life, does it?

Everyone forgets about the Negro Puppy Throwing leagues of the 1930s. Hell, Thomas Jefferson was known to toss a pup or two back in his day.
