What a great guitar player, such a shame that the cancer that robbed him of his sight at age 1 finally took him on March 2nd in Toronto. I remember being turned on to him when I was 20 or 21 by a friend of mine, man, he just screamed. Oh well, the music world loses another talented player.

Last week, yes.
"Everything's so clear to me now: I'm the keeper of the cheese and you're the lemon merchant. Get it? And he knows it.
That's why he's gonna kill us. So we got to beat it. Yeah. Before he let's loose the marmosets on us."

Thank you for pointing him out to me. A lot of the time I only hear of artists when they pass on. I just bought See the Light by him, and so far the first 4 tracks have been an ear pleasure.

RIP Jeff!

Been inclined to wander... off the beaten track.
That's where there's thunder... and the wind shouts back.

He had a radio show here in Toronto, on Jazz FM. It was called My Kind of Jazz where he played music from his personal collection of 1930's and 40's jazz. He was knowledgeable, entertaining and just a great musician. I'll miss him.
